What Vince Lombardi taught him

“Act like you’ve been there before.”

Lombardi said, ‘Act like you’ve been there before’ always kept me from embarrassing another player as a result of something I had done. Those that I played against were pros, and where respect is received, it should be given, which would not let me be demonstrative because of my success or his failure.

Eighteen years of football in Freeport.

After Washington, Mike coached the 8-Mile Rock Crushers to Bahamas American Football League championships, then formed the Guinness Titans and won the title in Nassau in their second year. Crushers Sinclair Knowles and Joey Wildgoose earned U.S. college scholarships.

“The only thing about me that is not Bahamian is my accent.”
